Tailgating for football games is such a huge pastime here in Volunteer Country. So when the Florida Gators came to Knoxville, your All Occasion Catering team stepped onto the field.
For a tailgate to meet SEC expectations, we put a twist on the classics. Donut kabobs, fried gator bites and sausage stuffed crescent rolls lured people in. But it was the biscuit and the slider bars that kept people coming back for seconds – and thirds! A noon game called for an early morning tailgate, so our biscuit bar had our favorite breakfast meats – country ham, fried chicken and bacon. Once lunch time hit, Kobe and Wagu sliders with cheddar and caramelized onions on pretzel buns kept us fueled for the game. To make the tailgate really top-notch, we brought out our top sirloin, shrimp & grits and chicken & waffles.
Although we didn’t win, we sure played a great game and were well fed! Check out some photos Justin Fee took of the tailgate.
