Hello six more weeks of winter! It’s no surprise Knoxville is finally feeling the brunt end of winter. We can expect more frigid days this winter, so we want to be prepared! Stock up on the essentials like bread, eggs and milk while you can. And while you’re at it, grab a few extra ingredients so you can make the ultimate “warm up sip” – a Tennessee Toddy.
A Tennessee Toddy is made with a few simple and easy-to-find essentials – 2 ounces of Jack Daniels (because the only good whiskey is Tennessee whiskey), 1 tablespoon of honey, 4 ounces of hot water, 1 teaspoon of lemon juice and 1 slice of fresh lemon. Stir it all together, and you can say hello to a deliciously satisfying and cozy beverage. Curl up with a warm bowl of traditional mac & cheese or chicken & dumplings, and you’ll never have to leave the comfort of home – until spring has sprung!
